The Kentucky Board of Chiropractic Examiners has filed 2 bills in Frankfort to close the loophole that has been found in the PIP law. This loophole allows medical doctors to review chiropractic claims. This is in contrast to major medical, workers compensation and Medicaid. Although a medical doctor has significant training and education they do not posses the specialized knowledge of how chiropractors practice. This has led to inappropriate and unfair denials of care. With this loophole, patients may not be able to access their PIP benefits and receive high quality, cost effective chiropractic care.
