Testimonial:
I have been a member of the KAC since 1989, but not active... In September 2004, I was frightened for the future of our profession and I went to convention in October to “make some waves”. It was my first appearance at a KAC event in over ten years. I questioned; what has the KAC done for me? I was ignorant of the members of this organization’s efforts. I was also made aware of how much more was needed from the membership and was immediately put to work. I thought; what do I know? How can I be of assistance? I didn’t have time to linger on those questions. Let me say, I was intimidated at first. However, I have “stepped out of the box” and have met with insurance companies, government employees, Kentucky legislators and communicated with national chiropractic organizations. I have been involved with drafting legislative amendments and I have learned from our lobbyist. I have read state statutes until I’m blurry-eyed. I have learned more of what my computer can do in the past ten months than I had known in the past ten years.... Don’t you want to have a say in your future? Membership in the KAC will give you this voice.
